A favorite around here! Our blackening season is great to make ahead and store until ready to use. Great on chicken, fish, tacos, sandwiches and more. Oddly gratifying to me after adding all of the spices as it looks like those sand art jars you used to make at summer camp. Love it!
- 3 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 Tbsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp onion powder
- 2 tsp cayenne powder
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp thyme or Italian seasoning
- Mix spices (paprika through thyme) in a small bowl. Store in airtight container for up to 2 months.
