Grammy’s Salsa
My mom is known for so many things but perhaps her most famous is her salsa. Kids, friends and neighbors ask for it anytime she’s in town. Perfect for a BBQ or gathering this Labor Day.

Ingredients
- 1 – 28 oz can diced and fire roasted tomatoes
- 2 oz chopped green chiles
- 1 jalapeño, stem and seeds removed
- 4 green onions, root end removed
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
To Serve:
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, loosely packed and chopped
- Tortilla chips or veggies

Instructions
- Add all ingredients except cilantro to a food processor. Pulse to chop up vegetables then blend until combined. Be careful to not overprocess – it’s better with some texture! Transfer salsa to a bowl and stir in fresh cilantro. Taste for seasoning and adjust salt and pepper as needed. Serve with tortilla chips or veggies. Salsa will stay fresh stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days in an airtight container.
